Survey & Design

Foundation
Once the survey is approved, the first step in building your new cabin is constructing a solid raft foundation. This foundation provides a stable base to ensure the longevity and durability of the structure.
Cabin build
Next, we move on to erecting the 100mm thick walls, followed by the roof. This stage is always exciting, as you can see the cabin truly begin to take shape.
Exterior finish
We then complete the exterior by finishing the visible sides with Canadian red cedar wood, adding a beautiful and natural touch. For the hidden sides, we always recommend using black metal cladding, which helps reduce costs and requires less maintenance. The roof is finished with durable EPDM over 125mm insulation, ensuring excellent energy efficiency and long-lasting protection.
First fix Interior
Once the exterior is complete and the structure is weather-tight, we begin by installing our 100mm floating floor and proceed with the first fix. This is followed by fitting 12.5mm plasterboard on the walls and ceilings, which are then fully skimmed for a smooth finish.
Second fix interior
During the second fix, our electricians complete all the final connections in the cabin and back to your main board. We then install your chosen flooring along with the skirting boards to finish the interior.
Final Touches
We will make any final adjustments and finishes needed in the cabin, ensuring everything is perfect and ready for you to start moving in your new furniture.
Key hand over
That’s it! We always aim to complete your cabin project within 3 weeks (weather dependent). The cabin provides an amazing additional space for your home, whether as a garden room or a home office. Our cabins are designed for year-round use, thanks to their excellent insulation, ensuring comfort in any season.
